Creek fishing with a 7' fiberglass 3 weight. I also caught a smallmouth bass.

This stocker is a holdover from the winter. He doesn't look too good, and this Ohio creek has probably been too warm and muddy for him all summer.

He was a little too big for my net and ended up on the ground. As a rule, I don't pause to photograph fish that have had a rough landing, but things didn't go wrong here until the phone was already in my hand.

The Hocking River in Athens Ohio. We caught more kinds of fish last night than in the rest of the trip combined. The Hocking is a tributary of the Ohio, and we were fishing just below the first obstruction to fish swimming upstream.

Caught my first White Bass on the Hocking River. Landed him right after sunset. I used a 200 gr OPST head with a 5 foot floating polyleader on a 4 wt Reddington butterstick v3. The fly is visible in the corner of its mouth.
