Travel

Spent the perfect day outside today. After a long week caring for my sick rescue cat, I really needed to reset!

I went hiking alone for some deep nature healing. Called shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing) by the Japanese. It was absolute bliss!

The song Life Is Simple (Move Your Body) by Maesic, Marshall Jefferson, and Salome Das was playing in my head.

I felt so connected, not alone. Then a total stranger gave me a bright green soccer ball! ⚽️ The best surprise. All they wanted was my smile. It was so random, too: green is my fave color, and I was just thinking of getting a small exercise ball for winter! Thanks, Universe!

Moving your body + fresh air = simple power.

For a moment forget the harshness that is painfully visible when you look at the big picture, but see the softness in a much smaller field of vision.

was a weird monday:
had the realisation on the train to work, that I had actually booked the day off... came back home and got to hang out with the smaller child, took her to the park to practice roller skating...
had dinner with the fam (rare on weekdays) took both kids for a short stroll along the edge of the national park after dinner.
I think maybe this is what life was meant to be?
