The #HighwaysAgency is closing part of the A49 at night. The indicated detour can turn would should be a 7 mile journey into 46 miles. That seems unreasonable.
And what are they doing? Excavating the road? Rebuilding or replacing it?
No, they want to survey it.
That seems outrageous. Whatever happened to single lane working with traffic lights? They could use a convoy system if they really need to control the speed of passing traffic.

Well it is a good job I woke up early. I flipped my diary open out of boredom, and discovered I'd forgotten I'd volunteered to do a run in the charity minibus. I was down to pick up the youth group from their outing to Loch Lomond.

Thankfully I was only half an hour late, and I blamed that on traffic and the #HighwaysAgency putting a damn 30mph speed limit on the #M74!!!

Which meant being late cause of it was only stretching the truth and not an outright downright.

If public services require minimum service levels for the purpose of trade union disputes then why should they not be defined for general delivery of services and known by everyone?

Perhaps, it would be difficult to define minimum service levels currently without initiating whatever sanctions on the delivery agencies for not being able to meet them.
