We’re beginning a stretch of HOT weather so it’s time for this fix I didn’t think of until last year! We have a single, west-facing window, it’s a greenhouse box window. In the summer it absolutely bakes our kitchen. In the winter cold pours in from it.

Solution: 2 insulating foam panels. The side facing out the window is coated in Mylar, so it even reflects sun away! While it looks janky, we found it helped a lot.

Ursa hates it because he has a mat in this window box and likes to lie there, chattering at birds.
