Just finished listening to a Decoding the Gurus episode about Andrew Huberman, and I'm flabbergasted by the idea that this guy is a neuroscientist. He digs a paper out of BioRxiv about effect of nicotine which turns into "power of placebo", and then Huberman continues to suggest that the results (assumed dosage alters effects) could be generalized to vaccines and ADHD, and lying to patients would not be unethical, actually, since placebo takes care of that.

Caveat here is that I haven't read the paper, but I trust the DtG guys enough to rely on their description of the study. Also, having read multiple placebo studies earlier and listening to Skeptics with a K for years, my assumption about any study touting the power of placebo is that it's probably bollocks.
