Selecting health benefits at my new job. Every single thing about this process is awful. (Because I live in the USA.)

The web site's UI and UX are nightmares. Having to understand and look up various arcane insurance terms is ridiculous. The amount of money I'm going to be paying will be obscene, and then I'll have to pay *more* every time I get anything medical done.

And the idea of having to pay for all of this at all is disgusting.

Apparently the patent on Vyvanse in the US expired on Thursday? Cool! Maybe in a year or two, Vyvanse can be as cheap as other necessary medications that aren't covered by patent! Like insulin... oh. Fuck.
