Likewise in Idaho it's only "support". This is weirdly interesting. Isn't every governor head of the state's militia...?
TIL that in Illinois as per the gubernatorial oath that you only swear to ~support~ the constitutions.
TIL that as per the California gubernatorial oath of office you swear to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California".
