This is the 1977 #5 Ford Escort RS1800 Mk II with an alternate livery by [M&M] BADBOYS MM 100 (998 658 047). The car combined a 2.0L naturally-aspirated I4 in a rear-wheel drive configuration to create 255 bhp. It went on to win the first #WRC world championship for drivers in 1979 in Group 4, paving the way for the fantastic (and infamous) Group B era of rally racing.

And, wrapping things up this week, no Fordzathon would be complete without a bit of #KenBlock. This was only made more relevant with his untimely passing. He brought car culture, car media, #RallyRacing, and a touch of crazy to the spotlight in ways no one had done before. He was a huge part of my media rotations over the years and will be sorely missed.
