I'm also standing in May's local council elections in my local ward of Banwell and Winscombe.

My thanks to @KeatingPatrick who set me off on this journey at the end of last year.

Liberal Democrats would upgrade insulation in all existing homes by 2030, creating thousands of new green jobs. We would also require all new homes to be eco-friendly and increase minimum energy efficiency standards for privately rented properties.'

It's a bit more than ambition to be fair. And renewables were tripled under Ed Davey as Environment Minister.

But I'm all for the Green Party pushing for maximum protection for the environment and combating climate change that can be adopted by people quickly and with minimum disruption and with maximum beneficial impact.
