Let me use my Darkwing Duck re-watch for one of my occasional "Cartoon Crushes" segments, this time, not surprising, Gosalyn Mallard, born Waddlemeyer.

She's a lively, spunky girl that loves sports, video games, comics, questioning and eagerly breaking rules.

She hates being treated like a child, and while she's usually wild and energetic, she can also be caring and affectionate as she more than once shows towards her adoptive father Drake Mallard.

She's brave and even dabbles in being a heroine herself, donning mask, cape and bow.

With Gosalyn I'd be happy with both variations:
As actual crush, at her age joining her in her adventures, but also as a certainly proud "father" as she's an awesome daughter with a great sense of justice. ♥️

As a big fan of Gosalyn, and of situations in which cartoon characters wear different outfits from normal, "Apes of Wrath" (S01E06) is also really nice because it shows Gosalyn in an adventurer/safari outfit as well as your stereotypical Tarzan-like fur-style thingie. ♥️

Image-searching for "Gosalyn Waddlemeyer" gives one mostly images of her DuckTales (2017) version and far less than her original Darkwing Duck look.

On one hand it's cool that her quite cool DuckTales version gets so much attention, on the other hand it's also a pity because I personally consider her original design to be cuter.

Ultimately, all Gosalyn is good Gosalyn. 😊

("Gosalyn Mallard" gives slightly more DD results, but still more DT.)
