Training for my purple belt in #gojuryu #karate and we're perfecting moving within shiko-dachi (variously called square, straddle, or horse stance, the torso is upright, hips low with knees at 90 degrees over the ankles) and randori kumite (free-style sparring). I'm not sure which is leaving me more sore.
Sherri W (SyntaxSeed)We did it!! Everyone really gave a great showing of their skills. We pushed through the nerves & are proud of ourselves. Husband got punched in the jaw when his spar opponent didn't pull his punch properly - but he ultimately won the match! 🤣
Going to sleep well tonight as the adrenaline & anxiety finally drains out. Whew!
