There's this absolutely ridiculous but strangely persistent notion that the ultrarich will somehow be able to evade the consequences of climate destruction.

So here's your daily reminder that it's impossible to bribe physics. Wealth has no correlation with intelligence. In reality, a billionaire is most likely a person of average IQ, i.e. barely able to understand what they're getting themselves into.

Nowhere is safe. No-one is safe.

Translating this nonsense headline into human language: Fossil fuel companies murdered more than 200,000 people in Europe since 2022.

1) It's not "heat" - it's a direct product of CO2 emissions causing global overheating.
2) It's not "claimed" - fossil fuel companies knew exactly this would happen and still continued selling their deadly products. It's called mass murder.

Oh, this is the very opposite of mind-boggling. It was all predicted in the 1950s by scientific models. Throughout those decades we've been told a billion times that our fossil fuels addiction will have catastrophic consequences.

Physics is the immutable laws of FAFO. Both hands on electic wires = death from electrocution. Jump from the roof = death from the impact. Burning fossil fuels = death from overheating.
