I been reading more Glen Cook, 1-1/3 books left to go, & boy do I love One-Eye. What if you give a troll (Internet type) mid-powered sorcery & a really stinky hat & let him fester for 150 years?

The viewpoint of Croaker as Annalist is too normal-soldier, I like the weirdos like Murgen more, I think.

Crazy-ass "Papa" is great, too. Really puts the romance back in necromancer.

Anyone ever talks about "found family", hand them Port of Shadows.

Book 1 of a series that was formative in my youth. Like most such things, I had to go and ruin it for myself by rereading it... This is easily the least egregious example, don't get me started on all the slurs.
