"I'm a Solution Architect." Are you? Or are you just a Senior Developer who likes meetings? Architects talk about Trade-offs (Cost vs. Performance, Buy vs. Build). Developers talk about Implementation (How to write the code). Know the difference before you apply.
Happy New Year, Power Platform & Dynamics 365 community! ✨
Wishing you all a fantastic start to 2026 filled with new opportunities and success! Let's continue to build amazing things together. 🚀

"Agentic AI" experience > "Copilot" experience.
Last year, we wanted people who could use Copilot. This year, we want people who can build Autonomous Agents in Copilot Studio.
Update your resume: "Built an agent that autonomously triages support tickets" is the new gold standard.
The "Summary" section of your resume. Don't write 3 paragraphs. Write 3 bullet points:
1. Years of experience + Core Tech stack.
2. Biggest achievement (Saved $X / Delivered Y).
3. What you are looking for next. Recruiters scan this in 5 seconds.
If you are a freelancer, your "Rate Card" is your resume.
Stop being vague about your services. "I do Power Apps" vs "I build fixed-price HR Onboarding Solutions for $5k."
Productize your service to stand out.
Salary Negotiation 101: Don't give a number first.
Recruiter: "What are your expectations?" You: "I'm looking for a competitive rate for a Senior Functional Consultant role. What is the budget range for this position?"
Make them anchor the negotiation.
Remote work is standard in the Microsoft ecosystem, but "Async Communication" is a skill.
If I have to message you 3 times to get a status update, you aren't a remote worker; you're a bottleneck. Over-communicating is the secret to getting promoted while working from home.
Stop listing every single PL-900 certification at the top of your resume. 🛑
Recruiters want to see solutions, not just badges. Instead of "Certified Power Platform Fundamentals," try: "Built a Lead Processing App that saved the sales team 10 hours/week."
Outcomes > Badges.
