Instillare false aspettative, approfittare del bisogno altrui, guadagnare a scapito di chi non ha nemmeno un reddito.

I have just seen a "Senior Front End Developer" position advertised on Linkedin.

When I filled out the usual boxes on their site I was told that I had applied for the position in the middle of October and "Applicants must to wait three months before reapplying for this post".

Is it just me or does this scream **GHOST JOB** to all of you too?

Fake #Job Postings Are Becoming a Real Problem
One in five online #jobpostings may be "ghost jobs" that companies never intend to fill, according to new data from hiring platform Greenhouse examining its clients' recruitment patterns in 2024. The analysis found that 18-22% of advertised positions across technology, finance, and healthcare sectors went unfilled, while nearly 70% of companies posted at least one #ghostjob in the second quarter of 2024.

@detritus yes, and #GhostJobs are a real problem to the point that I wish for a #JobSearch site that only has genuine #jobs and bans companies & recruiters publicly if they post a #GhostJob or violate #transparency re: #wages and #conditions!

Turns out it's perfectly legal to waste applicants' time, use posts to squeeze more productivity out of #employees
If you didn't hear back about that great-looking tech position you applied for, it might not be because there were too many applicants scrambling to find a #job amid rolling layoffs. There's a distinct possibility the posting was fake to begin with.
