And to end on a lighter note, the most entertaining films I watched at #berlinale apart from #GhostInTheCell:

#SunnyDancer
Has no hospital scenes, but other than that the script is pretty similar to other "cancer films". But it still hooked me very fast (probably because of the extremely embarrassing parents) and took me on a fun roller coaster from there on. Where the film shines is the great acting, you get very close to these characters and experience the camp together with them. If you like coming of age films you should definitely give this a try.

In my opinion, it has a similar problem to the Deadpool films: it starts off creative and promising, but then reverts too much to classic patterns towards the finale. But still very entertaining all the way, doesn't take itself too seriously and thereby has the chance to deliver a lot of great laughs, while not hiding its critique on modern technology.

The three films I found most impressive at #berlinale all happen to be set in prison:

#GhostInTheCell
Indonesian horror comedy film with very artistic kills, a lot of social criticism that is so obviously thrown in your face that it's actually good again, and the humor is also pretty much spot on.

#Animol
At first glance, the description makes it sound like a typical prison drama, but it is so perfectly acted and emotionally engaging that I was very moved by it. The bond between the two prisoners is also kept subtle most of the time, which only makes it all the more powerful.

#TheOtherSideOfTheSun
I definitely can't recommend this film to everyone - it's really very hard to watch. It makes you doubt humanity even more than you already do. But in some ways it also gives you a little hope to see how people stick together and support each other in such extreme situations.
