Oh, FFS - I hadn't realised they've done that. I lost respect for #TheGuardian generally because of their pro-establishment campaigning against Corbyn. I have been making a monthly contribution (not subscription) directed to #TheGuardianAU, but partnering with #OpenAI and buying into #genML hype is a red line for me.

🧵 2/n here's an example why #ConversationalSearch will be "the future"; i don't actually want to "search" for the answer, i desire "the answer".
The DESIRED PRODUCT has never been called SEARCH - it's best described as ANSWER. 😉 (i'm still not calling it #AI, though - it's generative machine learning - #genML)
The, afaik, most accessible free (as in beer) option seems to be #Copilot, currently.
Turns out, Ezra Miller has been #TheFlash before 2023.
seem to aim for more conversational approach - what "the machine" told me.

Alas, one seems to need to ask explicitly, if one desires PRECISE answers - personally, without RTFM, i'd prefix my prompt with "(precise mode)" - that'll do.

#Copilot, well, the limited & free-as-in-beer 4-banger "incogniCopilot", is the most useful MSFT thing, since Windows 2000.
It seems to be an actually not terrible search engine.
#ConversationalSearch, for now, indicates a slightly less shitty future ← i just made this term up → it probably exists already (parallel evolution 😏). I'm sure #capitalism finds a way to eat its tail and degrade it "auto-magically", though. 😅
