I'm so bored of this long, cold winter and dreaming of road trips. This photo is from our Norway road trip two years ago. We drove through 5 of Norway's 18 national tourist routes. This stretch of road is part of Gaularfjellet. It was beautiful and definitely not as touristy as Trollstigen, which we also drove through just before it was closed for the season due to rock slides.

You see a hairpin road, I see mushrooms.

Driving down from my favourite valley in the world, Gaularfjellet in the western part of Norway a couple of years ago, I stopped in one of the hairpins. I probably smelled the mushrooms driving down, because it was unbelievable full of Craterellus tubaeformis (traktkantarell).
Sometimes mushroom hunting is not so much about hunting as it is about stopping.

Ich komme vor lauter Landschaft gar nicht dazu, was zu teilen. Heute erstmal ein Video vom Ausblick auf dem Weg zum Gaularfjellet. Heute ist der erste Tag mit durchgehend Mistwetter. Das ändert sich hoffentlich bald wieder. Beim übernächsten Stellplatz hole ich fototechnisch mal ein bisschen was nach. Grüße aus 6 Grad ins heiße Deutschland. 😅
