They don’t make them like this anymore. The door to the telegraph office in Lærdal, Norway.

Not being a Christmassy-person I still love to see how other celebrate - even when they seem to be a bunch of lunies … My landlord a couple of years back had this tiny tree in her garden, and it is still a very cherished memory to me.
Better than bringing the tree inside, am I right?

To anyone who needs it, happy Christmas!

The old postal route from Bergen to Trondheim has some really nice details, and like the Santiago de Compostella, it is also a rainy route ...
This hut is just outside of Bergen, but farther north there are some old, good looking stone bridges.

My go-to camera has always been Nikon. When I started to photograph in the 70ies, I had a couple of years of Richo, and from then, Nikon. It has always been, to me, the political correct camera (!). I still use a d5100 from time to time. Like this, the Kannestein, outside of Vågsøy, Norway.

But. 10 years ago I tried digital Canon, and even if I have no words for it, I always keep my photos based on what is pleasing to the eye rather than technical stuff which I don't know much about even after all these years, I find that Canon gives me better photos. And now, 90% of all my photos are iPhone - because my mobile phone is always there. Like for most others, I suppose.

Anyway, looking back at my Nikon photos I see they are softer, more like paintings compared to iPhone (and to some degree, Canon) which are more like drawings, illustrations. More yellows in one, more blues in the other. I have not used a filter on any of them, but I might have lighten them some, I usually do that.

What do you think, is camera brand important to you as a photographer, the hobby version of one. And why.

An old sæter, mountain cabin often related with work of some sort, in my - if I might be allowed to repeat myself - favorite landscape of Gaular, Norway.
Last time I came by I found the best blueberries. Probably fertilized by goats and sheep.

I might delete this, it is just for test.
Part 1 of a triptych.

Edited: If you look closely you can see a bit of the ferry I stood on taking this photo, in the left hand corner.
