I really enjoyed the Lone Wolf gamebooks by Joe Dever back in the day. Never as well known as the Fighting Fantasy series, LW was more plot focused, and more consistent in tone and mechanical competence.

I only mention it because I just discovered that a new book in the series has just been released. At $42 I will not be buying it, even as a special edition hardback. But I am glad something from my childhood is still finding readers.

The last few weeks were all editing and iteration—multiple playtests, section-by-section proofreading, formatting improvements, updated maps, and work beginning on the 10 bonus illustrations unlocked through the stretch goal.

Today, the external review phase began. Nine volunteers are now reading the current digital version, and their feedback will guide the final revision pass.

Slowly but surely, the project is approaching the finish line.
