This time last week I was in New Orleans. Today its ATL enroute to Blacksburg VA. #gohokies

Somedays I just wonder at modern jet airtravel. At the HNL airport in the ridiculous hot TSA line 12 hours ago, we finally got on our flight after it had to be scrubbed the day before for mechanical reasons. Ominous. However, in that line you see some framed photos of early transpacific air travel, the Pan American Clipper. Attached. I am wistfully thinking about these early planes and these flights. Perhaps they will return one day, but for now its the aluminum mailing tube and veal calf seating pens. #airplanes #history #pearl_city_no_ka_oi
