Debris in Glacier Bay Waters - Boater Advisory

Due to an unexpected glacial outwash release, significant amounts of debris: alder trees, conifers, and additional woody material has been spotted in Glacier Bay's east arm and throughout the Bay. Boaters are advised to stay alert and use caution.

Whale Waters In Effect

13-knot vessel speed limits are in place to protect whale populations in the Bay. Current whale waters are in effect in the eastern portion of Sitakaday Narrows in lower Glacier Bay, the Marble Islands, and Sturgess Island. Click 'more' for details.
