En #GCC se llegó a implementar #Java lo cual requería de una biblioteca en tiempo de ejecución, #libgcj, que implementa la recolección de basura entre otras cosas. #GNU Classpath (https://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/) implementaba la biblioteca estándar de Java.

#Google tardó un poquito más en compilar a código nativo. ART se lanzó en 2014 con Android 5.0, unos 16 años después del primer lanzamiento de GCJ.

#GCJ dejó de desarrollarse en 2018.

Anyway, I did pretty badly on #GCJ Round 2. A lot of trivial properties were either not discovered or only occurred to me late into the contest :(

- #GCJ advanced to R2
- #GSoC proposal accepted
- Got some jeggings that were too loose around my thighs. Something something S T I C C :/
- Realized the reason why my server always died at midnight was because a cron job that should be 0 0 * * * was set to * 0 * * * :(
- #BuyVM VPS migrated to Ryzen. It was rebooted without me knowing though. Not exactly happy with the lack of communication.
