#Introduction

Hiya! I heard that beige.party needed some extra color! And that alt text character limits were not so tight here. 🌈📷🏳️‍⚧️

I have a few alts in the fediverse. I've been sort of around for years, but then I came in with the #fuckaas migration and started using @Lucaas daily and as my primary social media. That's turned into more of a shitposting kind of account. I created @Lucaas for my writing outlet, where I was also posting photos before now. I'll be doing that here, instead. I have a couple of other accounts, but that gives an easy taste of my varied fedidentities. 🙃🦄👽

I'm a 48 year old medically retired nomad, traveling the southwest States, especially Utah and Arizona, with some Texas sprinkled in. I'm nonbinary/trans/genderfuq, autistic/AuDHD, with plural identities, and I have fought my whole life to be as gloriously weird and free as I'm just now discovering I really am. 🪄🧭✌️

I've recently found my inner peace, and now I find myself in a phase of self creation and discovery. That means I'm going to spend a lot of time in beautiful, remote places - which I love taking photos of, and my favorite calming activity is writing alt text for them. Not all of my alt text will be in novella form, but I do sometimes love finding words for all the little details, which is why I'm here.

I previously marked myself as gone from that site we #fuckaas fled. Today I put up a "deleting this account on Monday" message. And got a chance to switch to alternate contact methods with a couple of friends, including one who reminded me that we'd met at a Tweetup I hosted, known as the White Flask Party. That was just over 19 years ago. 🤯

Damn, the internet has been a great source of community for me over the years.

Anyway, sad to lose another space. Had to be done.

I like this #forkiverse thing of a pre-existing community having a go of fedi and all sharing in, and helping each other out of, the initial confusion. They seem ok overall too as far as I can tell.

It's a bit like the #fuckaas thing from the other month but maybe closer to the buzz of Hachyderm than Jorts Horse or Beige Party. Bit bigger as well.
