Musical Interlude: I may have posted this before, but it's on my mind. I caught the Bette Midler version randomly today; Nanci's version is a big favorite with my sister and I, and we taught it to our parents during a long car trip. Now Mom tells me that any time she hears it on the car radio, she'll pull over and sit and reminisce. Nice to have a song that's a family favorite.

Musical Interlude: Nanci Griffith is a great favorite of my sister and I, and we introduced her to our parents. This particular song is a family favorite; even my dad, who professed to think she was merely OK, was caught humming this from time to time. Mom says that if she ever hears this on the radio, even the Bette Midler cover, she stops what she's doing, even pulls over to the side of the road, to listen and reminisce.
