As we slowly say goodbye to #summer I remind myself in times of distress or conflict, that I had this moment not so long ago. Taken from within a small cottage/loft on #Erie in #Ontario the window reminded me of a 3D photo frame. Snapped on my phone that day, having a nap and taking time to read.

It's been a #longweek and I decided to go for a #nightdrive during #sunset hour.

It's been setting a lot earlier making it difficult but I still manage to find time for a few (20) photos to bring home with me.

My recent #roadtrip through #rural #Ontario was done with a few ideas in mind, but #abandonedhomes and #ruraldecay are always what I'm after.

The #travelphotography I perform doesn't offer me a lot of opportunity to talk with locals, so I can't be certain of their local history, their story. Maybe something for another day.

The #roads best taken during #Ontario #roadtrips are those you know end up with a #NoExit sign indicating you should turn around.

Finding so many #rural #abandonedhomes through Bruce and Huron counties definitely starts to paint signs of destitution and poverty, and so I try and capture the #loneliness as I travel and try to give it a little life.

During a recent #roadtrip through #Ontario I found a small nook off the side of a road with a pedestrian path along a river and leading to a #nature trail.

Relics of an older era when these would have had a lot more foot and hoof traffic you'd have today.
