In the 80's, I often caught bits of a #movie while flipping through #cable channels, but never bothered to find out what it was until I caught the very end, and the visuals and music hit me with their haunting power.
I soon forgot the title, and in the 2000's it took me a while to re-find it because the end was my only clue. When I found it, I couldn't find a way to watch the #film.

A scientist (brilliantly played by Bruno Lawrence) wakes up to find that he's seemingly the only man left on Earth. But he's not. And there's some dark quality which unites all those who managed to survive. What makes the film work so well is the strange atmosphere and a subtle investigation about what constitutes living. And the final scene!
