Speaking of games that became free at some point… #Kingdom (Classic) is still very good. However, those games can get frustratingly difficult, so it’s doubly great that you can try one for free.

Works on all your Linuxes and all that.

Kingdom: Classic on Steam

Kingdom is a 2D sidescrolling strategy/resource management hybrid with a minimalist feel wrapped in a beautiful, modern pixel art aesthetic.

Speaking of games that became free, I actually enjoyed #DecayOfLogos quite a bit. It received criticism when it was released, and deservedly so: it's not a great game, and even a hidden gem is a stretch. But it’s not bad, not bad at all. I even thought that it, now being free, can be an introduction to the #soulslike genre, but that leads to a whole can of worms that I don’t want to open.

Decay of Logos on Steam

Immerse yourself in the world of Decay Of Logos and unravel its mysteries. Explore old dungeons, battle unforgiving foes and journey through a vibrant interconnected fantasy realm with your mystical elk companion.

I recently discovered that #TheWildEternal is now free. Highly recommend it!

Since it’s free, I won’t sell it too hard, but here are a couple interesting things: You play as a grandmother trying to escape the cycle of reincarnation. It’s a pretty chill game, but it’s not fully a walking simulator. You gain new ways to traverse the world, and there’s a very rude tiger who messes with you.
