The last couple of months have not been easy. Very much a "victim of our own success" situation for #FreeSewing aka @freesewing

I'm happy to have found a new home for my baby at a place that not only can handle the scale without bankrupting me, but also aligns nicely with our values.

Not having to resort to a hyperscaler and sell a kidney to keep the site online is a nice change from the increasing enshitification of tech.

Heute mit #FreeSewing rum experimentiert. Der Schnitt der rauskam war schon mal gar nicht übel. Ich werde meinen Mann am nächsten Wochenende noch mal ordentlich Maß nehmen lassen und das dann sich daraus ergebende Schnittmuster meinen Vorstellungen ein bisschen anpassen.

Dann kann ich im Dezember ein, zwei auch mit Binder gut sitzende Hemden #nähen.

We have migrated #FreeSewing to a new hosting provider this weekend, and unfortunately it didn’t go without issues.

Due to a problem in the backend tooling of a CDN provider, the TLS certificates are not (yet) generated, and this means your browser won’t connect to the website (even though technically it is not down).

Not all is lost though, you can access the site through the name used internally by the hosting platform. Details at:
