Today is #Rohingya Genocide Memorial Day. I feel the same level of pain walking through gas chambers at Auschwitz - 4 visits there - and other Nazi death camps, visiting Cambodia's killing fields and torture chambers - at least 10 times with Myanmar activist delegations- , hearing explosions inside Gaza, standing next to Kerem Shalom crossing near Rafah City, visiting Srebrenica or hearing eyewitness testimonies of Sri Lanka's atrocities against Eelam Tamils. To love and feel empathy is to be human in the finest sense of that word.
