This fundraiser aims to provide quality education by sponsoring an existing Community high school within the Rohingya refugee camps of Bangladesh, offering essential subjects and extracurriculars to nearly 1000 students from grades 1 to 12. In recognizing the UN's lack of sufficient aid for displaced civilians, particularly the Rohingya refugees who have been systematically targeted and forced out of their homeland by the Myanmar junta, I started this fundraiser in collaboration with NGO Rohingya Community Partners to allocate 100% of contributions to support community-led education for Rohingya students. Why? Among the challenges faced by the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, a significant concern is the lack of access to education. Approximately 75 percent of Rohingya children in these camps are not attending any formal schools, depriving them of the opportunity to receive a proper education and fulfill their potential. The limited availability of schools and restricted access to education materials compound the obstacles faced by young Rohingya refugees in pursuing their education. Where? While sponsoring the existing Community high school within the Rohingya refugee camps of Bangladesh, we will be able to provide over 1,000 students from grade 1 to grade 12 with access to quality education. With 14 well-qualified teachers assigned to specific subjects, students will receive proper instruction in Burmese, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, History, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Islamic Studies, and Rohingya Language. When? Our academic year runs from April to March, with four exams per year following the Myanmar Examination Board. Urgently needed items include student textbooks, exercise books, geometry boxes, pens, pencils, school uniforms, stools, whiteboards, mats, ceremony arrangement costs, and sports activity arrangement costs.
