Incidente stradale per il sindaco di Ferrara, Alan Fabbri, e l’assessora Francesca Savini, fortunatamente senza conseguenze fisiche per i due, ma con già un effetto politico. Savini, infatti, che era alla guida ed è risultata positiva all’alcol-test, con tanto di denuncia e ritiro di patente, si è dimessa nella tarda mattinata di sabato 9 maggio.
Lo schianto è avvenuto lunedì scorso ma la notizia è stata resa pubblica soltanto oggi. È avvenuto a Sermide e Felonica, nel Mantovano. L’auto è uscita di strada e, come si vede nella foto, è finita contro un albero e poi in un campo. Sia il sindaco sia l’assessora sono rimasti illesi, e sul posto sono intervenuti i carabinieri, i vigili del fuoco e il 118. Lei è risultata positiva con un tasso oltre 1,5 grammi per litro. Per questa ragione è scattato il ritiro della patente, la denuncia per guida in stato di ebbrezza e il sequestro del veicolo con successiva confisca.
“In questi anni, prima come consigliera e poi come assessora – ha scritto oggi Savini, anche lei della Lega come Fabbri – il mio obiettivo è stato quello di servire la comunità di Ferrara con impegno, dedizione e rispetto verso i cittadini. Proprio in nome di quel rispetto, e nella consapevolezza del ruolo pubblico che ho ricoperto fino ad oggi, ho scelto di rassegnare le mie dimissioni, con effetto immediato”. La ormai ex assessora al Pnrr, anagrafe e stato civile ha aggiunto che “è una decisione sofferta, ma è una decisione mia, presa affinché l’Amministrazione comunale possa proseguire il proprio lavoro con serenità”.

The crash occurred last Monday, but the news was only made public today. It happened in Sermide and Felonica, in the Mantuan area. The car left the road and, as seen in the photo, ended up crashing into a tree and then into a field. Both the mayor and the councilor remained unharmed, and theabinieri (Carabinieri), firefighters, and 118 (emergency medical services) responded to the scene. She tested positive with a rate exceeding 1.5 grams per liter. For this reason, her license was suspended, she was charged with drunk driving, and the vehicle was seized and subsequently confiscated.
“In these years, both as a councilor and as an assessor – Savini wrote today, also a member of the Lega (League) like Fabbri – my goal has been to serve the community of Ferrara with commitment, dedication, and respect for citizens. Precisely in the name of that respect, and with the awareness of the public role I have held to date, I have chosen to resign, effective immediately.” The former assessor for the National Recovery and Resilience Fund (PNRR), registry and civil status, added that “it is a painful decision, but it is my decision, made so that the municipal administration can continue its work with serenity.”
