“Read between the lines.”

Spent a lovely evening listening to Frances Wilson in conversation with Simon Cooke about her new biography, Electric Spark: The Enigma of Muriel Spark. She was so enthused and passionate about Spark’s ciphered life, her sixth sense, and of how a writer’s imagination is shaped and refined, I wanted to start reading her book as soon as I got home, and to delve back into Spark’s novels.
