Tamion Kenon, 34, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon two days before his death. He was found alone in his cell, according to the district attorney's office, which says Kenon's cause of death is still under investigation.
Participants in the Stars and Stripes program, which is for military veterans in the Fort Bend County Jail, live in the same unit and take classes four days per week.
