Graefestraße 85-88 (Albrecht-von-Graefe-Schule) was a department of the Urban Hospital for #forcedlaborers. A plaque at the school commemorates today the history of the site. The websites of the school and the Klinikum am Urban draw attention to the history.

#ForcedCampBerlin

In keeping with the weather, we are going to the park at #Plötzensee today. At the southern end was the pub Schweizer Häuschen, which was rented by Siemens & Halske as a forced labour camp. Today, nothing reminds of the place, the lawn belongs to the park. #ForcedCampBerlin
The #DeutscheLufthansa operated a #ForcedCampBerlin for 67 forced labourers from #Bulgaria, #Belgium, #Netherlands, #Croatia, #Hungary and #Sweden at Lindenstraße 62, now the Axel Springer New Building. The people had to work at #Tempelhof airport.
In the old Georgenkirchstraße in Berlin-Mitte, presumably in an apartment building, there was a #ForcedCampBerlin of the #Siemens Plania (Sipla) for about 40 civilian #forcedlabourers. The neighbourhood was levelled in the GDR and new streets were built.
On the site at Köpenicker Straße 18-20, #Kreuzberg, the dyeing and printing company R. Wolff KG operated a #ForcedCampBerlin with 56 #forcedlabourers. The site is now a listed building and is used by shops and a club. There is no memorial.
