#FoothillFire #CAwx
We've got about 70% of the weed whacking done. The industrial wood chipper we rented arrives tomorrow. And we'll be shifting to more understory removal and general thinning of fuels - focused on the North side of camp. We're planning on thinning the understory for a good 50-100' beyond our firebreak on the north side.
There don't appear to be any updates on the #FoothillFire since this morning. And to my knowledge no air resources have been devoted to it. Understandable with the urban impact of the Sandy Fire, but a little frustrating too.
Looks like #FoothillFire reached 10% containment last night. 462.9 Acres.
That's an oddly precise acreage for such an imprecise means of measuring acreage burned.
I have no time to check weather forecasts. Any intel inre wind expectations for today would be much appreciated.
Evac zone stretches to just 5 miles or so from camp. And we're about to put fasters On The Hill for ceremony.

This #FoothillFire near New Cayuma is a threat to camp.
Can’t follow it too closely though because we have a big crew here doing our annual fire clearance
