An update on the wallet app I am creating for GNOME Phosh on Linux.

I am continuing to add support for Taler.

Here is what it currently looks like to add a Taler exchange.

(A Taler exchange is where you would get Taler coins from.)

(Some of the stuff in the screen will change. Such as the buttons at the bottom.)

For the balances, the app groups the balances by currency (because I think it makes more sense to more people that way).

If you tap on the currency balance, then it shows the breakdown per Taler exchange.

I got a Linux phone a while ago — the FLX1s.

I started writing apps for it recently — which are just a GNOME + Linux apps.

I started working on a wallet app for GNOME Phosh.

I am adding support for Taler.

So far I have written a (mobile optimized) file manager app.

And, written a finger painting app for kids ages 3 to 5. (I have young children.)

....

There are other apps I plan to write, too.

I got Linux phone a while ago — the FLX1s.

I started writing apps for it.

That was actually one of the things I liked about it. Making app for it is a lot easier than Android or iOS.

Native Apps on the FLX1s are just GNOME + Linux apps.

I could also use whatever programming-language I wanted — I chose the Go programming-language (golang).

My #Furilabs #FLX1 now supports external displays!!!

thanks @furilabs for the amazing work!

@dos As a point of comparison, i did the exact same 30 min workout on my #FLX1 in the same conditions, only gapless + flatpak app for a more apples to apples comparison.

There wasnt any lag at all and no music cutout during the scan. Used about 9%/30mins so 18%/hour estimated. So not too far off but the big difference is the FLX1 has really good standby so even if the workout is at the end of the day its more likely that you will have enough juice at that time.

Thank you @furilabs team for making a phone with good battery life. Just did a 75 minute workout on my indoor bike and logged it all with the #FLX1 Only lost just shy of 20% while connected via bluetooth to my earbuds, heart rate strap, indoor bike. Playing music in gapless, browsing the web in firefox and jotting down notes, processing the hr/bike ble packets and displaying them in my workout app. Great not having "range anxiety" on #mobilelinux hope more devices follow

Not too shabby, able to get my training in without missing a beat and listening to my music.

@fbinin I'd say it's worth flashing it just to get a sense of how the interface itself works and to experiment before actually buying a new device. (Also, there's a chance that someone will figure out the drivers for it later and then you can use it: my camera started working a bit only a few months after I'd set up #Mobian on my #PocoF1)

Long term, a secondhand Poco F1 would be good for a cheap option but if you're serious about it I'd recommend investing in the #FLX1 by @furilabs
