I've gone through and finally wrote up my review on the #furilabs #FLX1s and shared my thoughts about it. Just in time for it to be sold out and for the #FLX1s+ to take its place lol. Luckily most of it should still apply except for some of the QA issues and the camera since everything else is still the same. Let me know what you guys think! The phone is really starting to shape up well with some good news coming up in the next update.

FuriLabs - Linuxphone Wiki

Three years ago, FuriLabs shipped its first Linux smartphone.

Last week we looked back. Four hardware products, 15 FuriOS releases, 450 changelog entries. And something new on the horizon for 2026.

Lilbits: The trouble with lifetime subscriptions, Google puts AI everywhere, and the Trump Phone is real?

Once upon a time, Plex was a free app that was a fork of XBMC (Kodi) that you could use as a full-screen media player on a computer, or to stream media over a local network. And you can still use it for those things. But these days Plex also offers ad-supported TV & movie streaming, and subscription services that let you stream your personal media collection over the internet (so you can watch […]

Three years ago, a lunch in Sydney started everything.

Last week I was back at that same table. Final FLX1s units sold, major FuriOS issues resolved. Simultaneously.

Almost exactly three years ago, at that same table, I had my first in-person meeting with the CEO of our first Chinese factory partner

I smashed my FLX1s screen. I would love to replace it and maybe the Flashlight LED as well when I am at it. Did one of you already tried some replacement ? https://linuxphone.io/d/3-flx1s-screen-battery-or-led-light-replacement-has-anyone-done-this . #Linuxphones #FLX1s

@david_bardos Interesting article, and even more interesting website design!

One thing to note is that most people do not (and will not, ever) install an OS; they simply buy a device and Windows, macOS, Android, iOS come preinstalled. You could say they chose their OS by choosing the device.

In the same fashion, there are mobile Linux OSes, e.g. #PureOS and #FuriOS that just come preinstalled for users on devices: #Librem5, #LibertyPhone, #FLX1S+

I think it's this category of OSes that has the higher promise of adoption by normal non-technical folks.

I'll try and document my experience with #Furilabs #FLX1s from now on. Here is my first try doing that:
