Flip Flappers did that thing where it introduces a completely different final antagonist from the antagonist group the main characters have been fighting the entire time. It didn't work.
The best things about Flip Flappers are the three main characters, Papika, Cocona, and Yayaka. The overall plot isn't very good. Most of the individual episodes aren't that interesting. And the final antagonist is boring.
Flip Flappers tries to delay introducing the series' actual plot for as long as possible because it's not very good. The first third to half of the anime is pretty episodic, with a single good episode.
Flip Flappers looks like it should be a good anime, but it falls into the same traps as many other generic series do. The characters are fun, but the plot isn't very good. #FlipFlappers
