Every HELI_RTE image captured by #Ingenuity has its own color palette, which makes processing each one a difficult manual task.

For example, here are the 10 RTE images the #MarsHelicopter captured in #Flight45:

Flying into the sun.

10 RTE images from #Ingenuity's #Flight45 have been downlinked. Before you judge the result, have a look at the original 🥴 😬

Not all images from #Ingenuity's #Flight45 have been received yet.

Here is a map assisted animation of some processed and localized color RTE images, along with one monochrome NAV image from the landing.

If #Flight45 occurs before we get the images from #Flight44, then we may have to wait a bit longer until the rover clears the hills obstructing the LOS.

Though, I can't see what is there at that mark that's so interesting geologically, but then again, IANAG™ ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

Animation of a hypothetical #Flight45 path, showing LOS + below horizon radio coverage. #Ingenuity flies at an altitude of 12m following the ground. Apparently, as soon as the #MarsHelicopter flies beyond the hill to the NNW and descends following the terrain, its LOS with #Perseverance gets obstructed by that hill, even at a 12m altitude. The obstruction remains all the way to its destination, and on the ground.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in reality 🤓

Two wild guesses about #Ingenuity's #Flight45 landing location, with visibility + below horizon LOS animation. Just because we're in the business of crystal balling #Mars2020 things lately 🙃
