Days 4 and 5 in Flaviar Christmas calendar

Day 4: Nc'Nean - Scotland. A really really nice single malt. Mild almost flowery taste with a hint of smoke and sweet tinge. This hits strong on my postitive palate. 8/10.

Day 5: Ferncullen - Ireland. A nice whiskey, mild bite that isn't too distracting. Nice drink. 7/10.

Not sure what happened to day 3.

Flaviar XMas calendar day 2

Today is Agitator from Sweden. Also a single malt.

Raw smell reminds me of paint thinner. Kind of overwheling smell, hiding other subtler smells.

Adding water..

After adding a small splash of water, I have a mildly barfy smell.

With a small splash, it's quite unpleasant. After adding another splash, there's still a sourness, and a taste like it took some of the distillery's machine oil with it in the bottle. Not great at all. 3/10.

Because responsible drinking involves NOT drinking in the morning - and because I don't want to open the last window on Yule (24th) evening, I'm doing each window just before midnight the day before.

So today is window #1 - Two Stacks - Single Grain Irish Whiskey.

Smooth, sweet, comfy aftertaste. A nice whiskey to sip on.

I gave it 7/10.

Gonna take a break from this Nightmare Machine saga for a bit. It’s almost time for dinner and I’ve got some friends coming over to sample the #Flaviar whiskey advent calendar afterwards
@nichagan I got a #Flaviar membership gifted to me for Christmas. I’m sure you could probably get it online somewhere else or your local store.
And now an at home #Flaviar #whiskey tasting!
