The Panorme siblings naturally all look alike: same skin tone, same hair color, same eye color... over time each of them found a personal style though (and a signature color, it seems!), and the similarities became a pinch less apparent ;)

Illustration for the black cat/Meowth (in the fanfiction version) that our favorite marine biologists family has as a pet (one of many) in Fish Don't Cry. Her name is Fili, shortened from Filiforme (it means something akin to "String shaped"!). She's beautiful and she wants to eat potato chips.

Deep-sea merfolk rarely encounter other merfolk and merfolk-adjacent species due to the depths at which they live: common merfolk live primarily in the epipelagic and mesopelagic zones (specifically, up to a maximum of 500 meters deep), pistrix live in the bathypelagic zone, from 1,000 to 4,000 meters deep, while deep-sea mermaids live in the abyssopelagic zone, between 4,000 and 7,000 meters deep.
