πΎ#OGONE40001138 is a really useful and informative error that is thrown by my #commerzbank and #firstdirect Mastercard (begins with number 5) online payment attempt on the #leshuttle #eurotunnel website but an #n26 payment card (also starting with 5) works fine. Bravo N26 which, as I have said as often as I can, utterly rocks.

#FirstDirect bank are usually quick on the phone if one has a problem but today they weren't and the phone message advised me to use 'message us' on the website. But the button isn't where it should be. So eventually I got through on the phone to the 'tech team' and was told it's because my browser has an ad blocker. I can't believe the messaging system relies on adverts to function so is this just a way to allow their multitude of 'partners' to spam me with adverts? #enshittification #adverts

Today I have ditched them and switched all my accounts to #Monzo.
Because fuck you First Direct, for being so hung up on titles and making it SO difficult to change that.
My account is Miss IFR and theyβve knocked back a cheque made out to Mrs IFR. Monzo didnβt even ask for a title.
When trying to perform a bank transfer on the website of #firstdirect #bank using #safari , the confirmation page just disappears if one navigates away to another tab or window e.g. to check some info before confirming. When navigating back to the firstDirect bank site in Safari (with browser closed initially) you enter automatically back into the open bank account page in a logged on state - no fresh login. This seems to be ultra strange: why kill the tab and then have it open automatically?
Why does #firstdirect not allow people with addresses outside the UK to have a #creditcard card?
Kornel#firstDirect app doesn't immediately crash on iOS 17 beta, which is new for them.
