A key part of the #CubanRevolution, the #FirstAgrarianReformLaw was signed by #FidelCastro on #ThisDayInHistory in 1959. It seized plantation lands and distributed them directly to small #CollectiveFarms (#coöperatives) and to larger state-run farms, and abolished #rent for land.
