Progress is not always positive in my opinion. A few days ago, #Thunderbird was upgraded to version 68 and some of my #addons such as #FireTray were broken by it. It’s disappointing when development is not backward compatible although that isn’t always a good thing either. Anyway, I’m giving #birdtray a go which is under #GPLv3.

#Firetray is back.

On #KDE, I used to use Firetray so that when I minimized #Thunderbird an #icon appeared in #SystemTray as well as telling me how many new messages were waiting to be read. Well, when version 60 of #TB came out, it broke that #addon much to my chagrin. However, I just discovered that someone has #forked the old version and it now works with my current version. Thunderbird 60 tray icon for Linux and Windows (js-ctypes version of Firetray) - Ximi1970/FireTray

#Thunderbird mis à jour, passé en version 60, #FireTray devenu incompatible 😡 aucune autre solution disponible → passé à #ClawsMail ! Honnêtement, je trouve que Mozilla craint de plus en plus :/
