except to prisoners...which i’m sure he doesn’t care about.
Wisconsin DOC continues to do nothing and the number of prisoners who have tested positive and died continues to rise.

Tell WI DOC secretary Kevin Carr that we shouldn’t be the only ones with demands!
He needs to call on governor evers to release all elderly, high-risk, and nonviolent offenders IMMEDIATELY
& if Tony refuses to do this, Carr should resign in protest before 2021
Granted, schools have a whole separate host of systemic issues, they also need to be completely overhauled, reimagined, reconfigured, and transformed, nonetheless...these ratios and allocations of funds lay bare the intentions of the state
Sean’s message, as a formerly incarcerated person, are incredibly important to heed, and he’s 100% right—though we cannot “say their names,” (because the DOC has not released them), they deserve to be remembered, they were people and they were members of our communities.

Sean Wilson of the Wisconsin ACLU wrote about this and you can read about it here in an article titled “Death by Inaction”
by criminalizing poverty, in addition to a host of other facts of life that the state has created, they’re able to force those of us who don’t subscribe to the protestant work ethic into situations where we must contribute something in order to receive the means of life (water, food, shelter, healthcare [in the us at least]). these remain legally unattainable to those who choose not to participate.
