The joy of binding off a long-standing project
I am not a shawl knitter nor a shawl wearer. Why I keep making them is beyond me. Maybe to appease the latent masochist in me?
I'm really glad that's done. Until the crazy bug bites again, I'm staying off shawls and keep my sanity.
The pattern is Puff by Lisa Mutch https://ravel.me/puff-6

Puff pattern by Lisa Mutch

I have two new lightweight, fun shawl patterns to show you guys! Both are simple, garter stitch, fingering weight designs, with mohair short row inserts to keep things interesting. Perfect for spring, they both use one skein of fingering weight yarn and less than one skein of kid mohair silk/lace, and that mohair texture is so dreamy!

So incredibly happy to have finished the Kaga Pullover by Ririko. I lost count how many times I went back to re-knit certain parts of the sweater. Nothing wrong with the pattern instructions; I just wanted to make it uniquely my own.

I often say this of most of my #finishedobjects but I am really thrilled with this one. This is Kentia by Marie Amelie Designs. If you look at the design pattern page, mine looks different. Well, that's the thing about knitting that I like most- You Do You.
I wanted mine in a single color. Cap sleeves don't look flattering on me. I tightened the neck opening which was too wide.
Result: Perfect

And finally, a matched hat and mitts pair for a fellow candidate's fundraiser, and a glorious brick-red shawl for a dear friend to mark her doctorate. #knitting #ravelry #FinishedObjects
