I assume part of the calculus for putting “AI” in design apps is to expand the customer base outside of just skilled creative professionals… 🤑 $$$

However I imagine that in the long-run if software makers keep devaluing both skill and creativity they'll quickly devalue their own products/tools as they automate creatives out of jobs… AI is a race to the bottom for the entire creative industry.

Have just received the approval for #FigmaAI… so far it’s useless.
I tried to “make“ (“generate“, why don’t call it like every one else?) a simple time and date picker element. As expected, I didn't get an actual element, but a full pseudo iOS screen whose aspect ratio didn't even match my other frame sizes.
Then I asked to start the week with Monday, which didn't work.
At this point it's completely useless and an insult to all real designers.

I want Figma AI to tell me if my designs do not follow WCAG guidelines 📋. I want Figma AI to tell me if my designs are accessible ✅. I want Figma AI to give me suggestions on color contrast ratios and provide recommendations for improvements 🎨.
