Being a field engineer/customer engineer/pro services/solutions architect/partner engineer/etc. (seems like this role has a lot of names) at my old job I felt like our team wasn't respected (oh you're just consultants, what do you know?) Where I work now, this team is actually respected for our knowledge and I really appreciate that.
