I am still thinking about that hypothetical nesting arc for that domestic fic; siren!Doppio is gathering nesting stuff and trying to find egg shaped things to practice brooding (sitting on eggs) and stockpiling snacks in said nest, meanwhile harpy!Diavolo is getting weirdly aggressive, getting even more territorial than usual, and nearly jumping reader half the time. Reader is at their wits end trying to figure out to do, because they have no real reference on any of this.

(Granted that there's a 2/3 chance of mpreg in that fic, but either of those two getting knocked up is a double whammy for reader because they have to do research on all this shit-)

Seeing some of the 'jealous' bird vids, I have two thoughts:

1. Some improper bird handling may be at play in these videos; iirc, pet birds should only have contact with their heads as much as possible, and rarely have their bodies touched to not mess with their heads in the affection sense?

2. The rather interesting concept of siren!Doppio and harpy!Diavolo finding a human trying to 'court' (read: harrassing) their shared beloved and rip said human apart while beloved either cowers in the corner if still human (and dismayed they were unable to escape again) or if mostly harpy at this point, is still hissing in a corner and has whatever feathers they have to make themselves bigger out of feral annoyance/fear of the human trying to harrass them until either Doppio and Diavolo calms them down (read: beloved gets fucked until they're a trilling broken heap on the ground)

I'm also writing a 'prequel' fic to the yandere fic and

The fact I'm setting this up as harpy!Diavolo being the one to fall hard for reader is sort of funny because- yes, siren!Doppio getting a crush and generally kidnapping reader due to his handling of his flock instinct is expected (for reference, he lost his entire flock to hunters and periodically kidnaps humans so he isn't as lonely but that does not work out well), but Diavolo seeing reader and getting butterflies in his stomach and his heart beating so fast when they see him only to think 'I must be getting sick something's off' and then when the realization of love happens, he tries to deny it.

...and then it evolves into a obsession and Diavolo decides to snatch up reader and take them home.

I am refraining from getting to the part of 'reader gets hormonal due to slowly turning into a harpy (likely) and lets siren!Doppio and/or harpy!Diavolo screw their brains out' too early but I am thinking about it-

That #ficwriting pain where you've got so much motivation to continue a fic, but then realize that already you've got to map out friendships and dynamics and AAHHH   

Do I try to do multi character perspectives? I think it would work well but I don't have the most practiced hand at it...

I wrote 530 words of fanfic last week.

I think that's pretty good going considering my new home life.

But made the mistake of leaving some tweets on fic and G Drive unattended yesterday and it blowing up a little.

So just coming here to remind people that big tech can change TOS and content guidelines at the drop of a hat, automate enforcement (badly) and leave you without your fic drafts.

Always make offline backups.
